GlusterFS in Version 3.7.5 freigegeben

Die Entwickler des OpenSource Fileclustersystems GlusterFS haben die Version 3.7.5 freigegeben. Diese korrigiert 70 Fehler aus der vorherigen 3.7.4 Version und steht aktuell für Ubuntu, Debian, NetBSD und als Tarball und RPM zum Download bereit:

Achtung Hinweis zum Update von Version 3.7.2 oder früher

Per Default GlusterFS nutzt seit Version 3.7.3 unsicheren Ports für die Kommunikation. Dies bereitet Probleme beim Upgrade von Version 3.7.2 und früher zur Version 3.7.3 und neuer. Daher sollten folgende Schritte unternommen werden, bevor ein Upgrade durchgeführt wird:

  • Enable unsichere Ports für alle Volumen
    • gluster volume set <VOLNAME> server.allow-insecure on
    • gluster volume set <VOLNAME> client.bind-insecure on
  • Enable unsichere Ports für den Dienst GlusterD mit folgendes in die /etc/glusterfs/glusterd.vol eintragen
    • option rpc-auth-allow-insecure on

Diese Schritte müssen auf allen Mitgliedern im Cluster durchgeführt werden.
