Apple hat ein weiteres Sicherheitsupdate, Rapid Security Responses, veröffentlicht. Für iPhones und iPads wrude das Update 16.5.1 (c) (20F770750d) und für MacOS das Update 13.4.1 (c) veröffentlicht. Alle drei Updates schließen krititsche Sicherheitslücken im WebKit und sollten umgehend installiert werden.
Beide Updates sind nur wenige Tage nach dem 16.5.1(a) und 13.4.1(a) veröffentlicht worden. Das erste Sicherheitsupdate führte zu Problemen die sich unter anderen bei der Anzeige von Webseiten zeigten. Apple zog es daraufhin zurück. Das Die Rapid Security Response Updates können, im Gegensatz zum iOS bzw. iPadOS Update, jeder Zeit vom Geräte deinstalliert werden. Unter Info gibt es die Option “Sicherheitsmaßnahme entfernen”.
